Entry Description: These images were taken for Ocean Spray to be included in a brochure promoting the beauty of the cranberry harvest. They were taken near Vancouver, BC. The India Indian is the typical migrant worker in the cranberry fields here.

35 years of advertising, editorial, stock and fine art photography. Currently based in Austin, TX. Have won awards in multiple contests. Feature articles written about Hix in Communication Arts, PDN, Graphis, Commercial Photography and others. Co-owned Somos stock with Veer/Corbis for five years before selling in 2010. Have shot ads for more than 300 of the Fortune 500 companies. Shown fine art photography in Carmel, Sante Fe, NYC, London and Paris galleries. Works are collected by Corporations such as Rayovac, Ocean Spray and Champion Paper. Now writing retrospective book of life as a photographer for the past thirty years.
