Dri Reynolds was born in the southern most state of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Communication at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC) in Porto Alegre, majoring in Technologies of the Imaginary. In Taquara, she taught courses in Photography at the Faccat College and also worked as a publicity photographer.
She left her home in Brazil in 2006 and now lives in Athol, Massachusetts, with her husband Peter. This was a life changing move in all aspects including her career. She has distinguished herself and has been editorially recognized as a photographer. Her work has been exhibited and awarded in both the United States and Brazil.
Dri focuses her work on the connection between the photographed image and the feelings they produce at the deepest level. She likes to reflect on the meaning of life and the things she values the most. Her photography is a journey for answers. In 2003, while she was still living in Brazil, she was attracted to forms, and began to explore the detail to be found in flowers, leaves, plants and other objects.
