Entry Description: The tribe of the Surma, in the Valley of the Omo of Ethiopia, have developed forms of art with great capacity for artistic expression, and an important social function and ornament. They use everything that nature can offer to adorn their bodies. Using the body paint to accessories such as bracelets, beads, feathers, leather and women use the famous lip-circular plate, a sign of elegance and prestige.

Born in Rome in January 1974, approachs photography at age 26, following his father, a professional photographer of Underwater World Photography. He was born as an underwater documentary photographer then he moved with success from the underwater world to the earth shooting marvellous pictures during an ethnic festival in Papa New Guinea which had let him win many awards and which had brought to a big solo exhibition in Rome. Since then, his passion has transformed in work. Starting mainly with underwater photography and reportage then he begins to approach fashion photography and realizes "personal work" already exposed in important gallery.
