Entry Title: " Daddy Longlegs"

Entry Description: I found this Daddy Longlegs (Pholcus
phalangioides) living in my wardrobe in Canberra, Australia. They are
sometimes called "skull spiders" because of their uncanny resemblance, but
they are harmless, and even believed to keep venomous spiders out of the
house. I photographed him using a specially adapted rig, based on a Canon
5D MkII and a Nikon microscope objective. I used the green wardrobe as a
background, which accentuated his sinister appearance.
