Entry Description: The portrait of miners who dug the tunnel for the world's longest railroad. These people work three thousand feet below the ground with 8-hour shifts. In April 2011 excavation of the tunnel has been completed.

Igor Ponti lives in Switzerland. Born in Lugano in the Italian part of Switzerland. After the school of art he went to Italy where he studied at the Institute Italian of Photography.
It is a professional photographer since 2006 and works with several national and international magazines. He also worked for private companies active in the fashion and advertising such as Hermès, Visa, Migros, Supsi, and more.
In January 2009, almost thirty years old, was published his first editorial work, Skate Generation. From 2010 he works a personal project about Switzerland, seeking the identity and characteristics that unite a nation that is so stereotyped and with many cultural contrasts.
