Entry Description: Lake Katwe lies in a volcanic crater that lies close to the border with the Congo in west Uganda. For centuries local people have collected salt from its water. But the water here is extremely poisonous containing many other chemicals turning the water a variety of colours and leading to terrible skin problems for the workers.

About the Artist:

Born in 1977 Luke Duggleby is an award-winning British photographer based in Bangkok, Thailand, where he has been for over 8 years.
