Entry Description: On April 26, 1986 at 1:24 a.m. a disastrous event occurred, the worst technological catastrophe of the modern age, which blighted the lives of millions of people. That night reactor number four of the Chernobyl nuclear power station exploded.
I worked for this project for 5 years from 2002 till 2007 with several trips on the contaminated lands around Belarus and Ukraine. The book is a collection of 81 black and white photographs with texts that explain the actual and real situation on the contaminated territories by Chernobyl.

Italian humanist photographer, is an internationally recognized photographer and he is recipient of numerous awards. Currently he is represented by Trolley, Great Britain. He received the Masters Program at CRAF diploma in conservation, technique and history of photography in 1990, studying with Charles – Henri Favrod, Naomi Rosenblum and Walter Rosenblum, who is his spiritual father in photography. He photographed in Italy, China, Vietnam, Cuba, Bosnia, Kosovo. Serbia, Ukraine, Belarus, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh. His photographs were exhibited in all Europe and United States, In 2006 the work “Chernobyl the hidden legacy” was selected by the Chernobyl National Museum of Kiev (Ukraine) for the official exhibition for the twentieth anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. The book “Chernobyl the hidden legacy” edited by Trolley, on 2010 arrived finalist at “FEP European Photo Book Award 2010” and “Pictures of the Year International 2010” in the category "best photography book of the year” His photographs are in the permanent collections of Auer collection, Hermance (Switzerland), Favrod collection, Saint Prex (Switzerland), Rosenblum collection, New York (USA), Fratelli Alinari Museum, Florence (Italy), Chernobyl National Museum, Kiev (The Ukraine), Fotografiska Museum, Stockholm (Sweden), J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles (USA).
