Entry Description: The photo series follows the misadventures of a young boy and girl who belong to a fictional organization – the Boys and Girls Owl Scouts of America, or Owl Scouts. In the series, the children are lost deep in the woods and are faced with several challenges: an owl burrow, a river, a tornado, and a bear. Each challenge is met with failure and ultimately the demise of the two scouts.

Todd Alan Baxter is a fine art and commercial photographer currently residing in Chicago, Illinois. His work, grounded by classic training but flush with Todd’s modern sensibility and technological acuity, explores the challenges of being human through the mishaps of the nostalgic characters who come before his lens. Todd’s fine art and commercial work has shown throughout the United States in gallery, museum, and industry publications. He was recently presented the AMD Visionary of the Year Award for Photography at a ceremony in Seattle, WA.
