Entry Description: The picture was taken for a friend's Rock band. the theme was inspired by their lives where the surroundings were filled with roughness of life and their first performance actually happened in a metal workshop where the band use to practice. the work shop had the metal weilding process hence the real fire was used in the picture to make the memory alive........

Vipul Amar aims at capturing real life… emotions, feelings and moments - through his lens. Essentially a leading industrialist in the FMCG food sector for Europe, Japan and the US, certain life changing events caused Vipul Amar to pick up the camera in 2004. His intent… to capture those moments in life that one could always carry with him as clearly as their first memory of it, sometimes the image being even stronger than the memory itself. As passion turned to profession, his approach to photography has stayed true to his first instinct when he picked up that camera – his images cinematic as opposed to pictorial. True to the soul searching and “let’s look beyond the obvious” character of the man himself, he avoids ‘plastic work’ and whole-heartedly delves into concept work where the real protagonist – whether it is man or object, has an identity and tells a story through each image. His signature lies in his cinematographic vision, which he pens through lights and shadows. As he says, “We all are a creation of the light of the goodness, the darkness of the evil and the shadows cast by it. And that is what my inspiration is………”
