Entry Description: Following a nearly year-long revolution, Yemen is on the brink of change. A Gulf Cooperation Council brokered deal led Yemen to a one-man election in February 2012, in hopes of stopping the violence and transitioning Yemen into a democracy. Yet a fine balance must be maintained for Yemen to make a peaceful transition. The people remain hopeful yet skeptical, the remnants of the incomplete revolution obvious on the streets and in the government. Though President Hadi's election was undisputed, many did not vote, and many who did went to foster hopes for change. For a new Yemen.
