Entry Description: By using an extreme close-up lens, my aim is to let the viewer, in essence, sit right in front of an insect and look them straight in the eyes. There is something haunting about this perspective that almost betrays emotions and thoughts that these tiny creatures must be having.

Jadon Webb has long been fascinated by nature, earning his bachelor's in molecular and cell biology, followed by a Ph.D. in neuroscience where he researched the inner workings of neuronal electrical activity. He is now a physician with an M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern, and is training to become a researcher in child and adolescent psychiatry. A resident of Dallas, Texas, Jadon has been photographing nature in the city for almost a decade, increasingly finding the microscopic side of biology to be quite expansive and beautiful.
