As a Korean-American photographer, I document the urban environments of South Korea using photo-collage. Inspired by the photography of David Hockney, I use the technique to expand the space and time of urban environments, as well as to embed other localized images found within the immediate area. By recording the landscape in multiple images and reconstructing them, I seek that my abstractions be read, revealing juxtapositions in the details that speak to the multifaceted identity of South Korea.
