Inspired by the simple concept of a “chair,” I was drawn to explore the time spent in chairs and the relationship with the human body that results. This work is a visual study of the formal relationship between a chair and the human body, allowing me to explore the physical connection between two different “legs” as well as my own personal relationship with these specific chairs. The resulting images are strange, uncomfortable, disembodied yet playful and familiar.
