Entry Description

In Los Angeles, East of Main St, South of Third, West of Alameda, North of Seventh refers to the area defined in the case Jones vs City of Los Angeles as "skid row." It contains one of the largest stable populations of homeless people in the United States. But court decisions and cardinal directions aren't what make the place--it's the people, their struggle, their lives. Peel back a layer and you'll find equal parts anger, friendship, and utter, utter boredom. And some great stories. And some great people.
