My father George states: “I am waiting to die. I have lived long enough. I’m almost 89, comfortable and I don’t have any health issues; that’s the good and the bad news. Everyone always says I’m too thin... well, the fact is, you can never be too rich, and you can never be too thin…” and then he chuckles. This statement sums Dad up perfectly. He had a quick wit and a satirical sense of humor. If you asked him what he meant by rich he'd say, “that has nothing to do with money, and then playfully quip, “but the money is fine too.” George got his wish November 10th 2015, ten days after he decided to stop eating and drinking. He was coherent and pain free up until his last breath. I was by his side throughout and in memoriam this is one of his final portraits.
