For most people, reading books is a way to learn about the world and oneself. For me, taking pictures has been the way I learned about the world and myself. I had very loving parents who taught me to be a hardworking man with kind emotions. My parents were blue collar immigrant workers who did not have the time or energy to guide me through my education. They left everything to God and truly God continues to look out for me. To me, this photograph reflects everything a child thinks and feels before he becomes an adolescent, which is the freedom to look and do as you please. This picture was taken in Monterrey, Mexico, the city where my mother was born, and where my wife and my child and I have migrated back to.
