Ikaria, one of the greek islands is best known for the inhabitant's longevity but also for the numerous panigyria. These translate to gatherings but are really huge outdoor celebrations, with music, food and dancing until the early hours of the morning. In this image a large number of young people are dancing together one of the greek traditional dances. The majority of people don't know the person next to them but such celebrations bring everyone together, to eat, dance and sing, whoever they are.
