This year is the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear accident. In summer of 2015 a 10-year-old Ukrainian girl explores a village home, abandoned after the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. The area was recently declared safe for unprotected entry. The houses in the deserted zone are full of personal memorabilia, but people abstain from taking souvenirs out of respect and superstition. Victoria lives just a hundred kilometers away, in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev (pop. 3 million).
