Although captured during a visit to Nepal made five years prior to the devastating earthquake of April 2015, in retrospect of the disaster, the contemplations made and the sadness felt around the world in its wake, this image of a young Nepalese girl steers the mind to thoughts of what might have become of her; thoughts on her fate, and with them, thoughts on the fate of all the other innocent children and people of Nepal. An image of both hope and loss, expressed through the harmless eyes of an unknowing child.
