The image have been catched during the scientific expedition in the Atacama Desert, Chile. The expedition was aimed to astrobiological research, searching for microbial life that survive in rocks in one of the most extreme environments on Earth. The image was taken around midnight, south of the Salar de Atacama basin, catching Pular volcano in moonlight with the Cross of the South and other stars.
