I was taken by this young woman teaching her child how to use a mobile phone (we all do it but the contrast here was very strong to my eyes). Up in some remote villages in the mountains of North Vietnam and down forgotten valleys, in the middle of ethnic communities, it may be difficult to find a good meal or clean water, but technology has arrived even there. I remember that some villagers told me I was the first white man they saw live and the first one to get there, but they had internet and mobile phones so they knew what to expect... the contrast between the living conditions and the available technology was quite incredible and children are prompt into it.
