This is part of a series of teen girls, music lovers, in their search for the next indie band or cool old artist. I followed them for a day as they searched the city for the new, unusual and novel. Music is a universal language for teens the world over. This image represents both the rejection of the status quo of adults and the adoration of popular music groups and the search for the real artists in the world. They were not interested in music of the masses but music from real artists that had meaning and depth. Surrounded by concert announcements, they feel they are at home.
