The image, as part of a photographic project, wants to uncover and share the suffering and loneliness experienced during Loredana husband's illness and during her cancer disease. A loneliness due to a lack of empathy and understanding of the people around her. Due tue this misunderstanding, she had taken refuge in poetry as a form of communication, in which the individual ego sublimated his experience into universal experience. If that had comforted her, the sense of lack of communication remained in her and this prevented the recognition of the significance of traumatic events. To feel heard helps to ease the sense of loss and to rebuild our story. By showing her suffering, the pictures reconnect her to the people and then to herself, again. This has led to the passing from an attitude of passive acceptance to a positive attitude able to start again with new resources.
