There is nothing like a day with fresh falling snow or a foggy morning when the weather is a bit more mysterious. When such conditions abound, it's a time of exploration and discovery, a time to look for the subtle light that softens the harsh light of a clear sunny day or the days when the tones of the gray scale come to live, blackness opens up and bright white abates. Often there is no better subject than trees. They stand in contrast to the passing weather, enduring the elements and time.
