The Impact Report 2015 combats rough-sleeping in Brighton and Hove. It highlights the scale of the problem and looks at what needs to be in place to support these vulnerable people at a time of personal crisis. They are people who have lost more than it is comfortable to imagine, their homes, their families and their sense of themselves in the world. The report highlights the continual increase of people taking to the streets with numbers in 2014 around 1500, which boasts the largest concentration of homeless people in the south when considering the size of Brighton and Hove. Drastic measures need implementing both locally and nationally with our current homelessness. The majority of us do not seem to see this suffering going on around us. The homeless live in as a vacuum of space, an abyss of emptiness, being visible to no one whilst suffering in silence.
