This is a very special image for us, as it depicts our friend just a few weeks after a mastectomy that was performed to treat the breast cancer. She was also hairless at this point due to series of chemotherapy treatments she had endured. Throughout her illness, she remained active, positive, hopeful and always encouraging others. This image was born from her very own observations that cancer patients feel unattractive due to their hair loss and other side effects of the therapy. They lose hair; they lose breasts, but no less importantly they lose their self-confidence, their sense of feminity and beauty. So together with the model we wanted to say through this image that women can be hairless and breast-less and yet remain beautiful, charming, lovely and not a bit less feminine than they were before. As long as they are alive, they are still 100% women. Because life is beautiful. Model: Kas Mason Make-up: Sara Szpak
