The Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris has been designed by Frank Gehry, one of the world's most famous architects. The building, completed in 2014, is devoted to contemporary arts and culture and lies in the park of the Bois de Boulogne. Twelve canopies made with 3600 curved glass panels are supported by numerous large wooden beams and a steel structure of 15,000 tons. It looks like a galleon floating in the water and with all sails opened but, at the same time, evokes the traditional and quiet greenhouses and pavilions of the 19th Century.
