Dallol is a volcanic explosion crater in the Danakil Depression in Ethiopia. The Dallol Volcano has the most colorful geothermal field filled with Sulphuric acid pools. It is the hottest place on earth with average annual temperature of over 30oC. These craters are the lowest known subaerial volcanic vents in the world, at over 45 m (150 ft) below sea level. The spectacular landscape makes you think you are walking on an alien planet.
