A convergence of Sun, wind, rain and geology annually fuels one of the most spectacular wildlife events on the planet: the Great Migration of Herbivores throughout the ecosystems of Serengeti (Tanzania) and Maasai Mara (Kenya). It was a long time that I had in mind to capture such a creative perspective of thousands of crowded animals. The blurred pattern of wildebeests (also known as ‘gnus’) adds a good sense of tension to the massive herd of animals in movement represented in this picture.
