I literally had one shot at this - ran out into the maelstrom with a rag over the camera/tripod. Cascades of rain made the lens unusable within five seconds but I managed to make this exposure. What I love is that it looks nothing like Zion National Park (where it was photographed) but strangely like some 19th century landscape painting of the English Lake District (where I spent time as a boy). So the photograph is an anomaly...and I continue to be intrigued by it.
