The Boneyard at Botany Bay in South Carolina, what a beautiful yet mysterious place! I arrived at sunrise on a gloomy, rainy day with a high tide climbing the beach. Slowly, over time, the beach has been pushed and pulled by rising waters, to the extent that the trees along the outer reaches have become one with the ocean creating what is known as the Boneyard. Dead, but visually vibrant trees create an eerie yet compelling story of our environment. While they have held their place in time, time and a rising ocean will soon take them.
