On Easter eve, Ethiopian orthodox prayers go to church and celebrate with candles which are lit during a colorful mass service. In orthodox theology, Easter is a more important festival than Christmas, since the Death and Resurrection of Jesus is more significant. At the Easter service all Ethiopians wear traditional white clothes, called yabesha libs.
