I have a strong connection to this part of the world as it's where my photography careeer began. I wanted to capture something different from my previous panoramic work of the Twelve Apostles, instead concentrating mainly on shooting in full frame (standard format). This particular evening, I climbed down the cliff staircase to Gibson's Beach and hiked along the beach until I reached my chosen vantage point. Beautiful soft light appeared in the sky just before the sun set for the day, allowing me to capture this unique photograph of a stunning location. I hiked back to the car and made it into Port Campbell just in time to organise some dinner for the family before all the food outlets closed for the night.
