Portraits of Abused Afghan Girls

Story

The Rhymes of an Afghan Teenage Rapper

“Women’s Rights”

My voice is always full of Pain.

It is not important but weather is Cold.

I wanted to run
I was hit on my Back.

I wanted to think
I was hit on my Head.

They burn my face
By the name of Islam. (they have the wrong interpretation of Islam)

My nose was cut
Because of Revenge.

They throw acid on my face
Hands and joints.

They sold me
Just that I am Woman.

I wanted to speak
They said that you are a Woman.

You are mindless
And you are like a needle. (small)

I didn’t say No
I didn’t say I die.

But there is no reason
That I say that I am Alive.

My voice is always Painful
It is not important
But weather is Cold
