Henrietta, or "Henny" as she is affectionally referred to, is a child with an extensive vocabulary, quick wit, and wisdom beyond her years. In this series we see Henny in different moments of her childhood; in reflection, at play, or being nurtured by her family and her midwestern, Kansas landscape. This series transcends the basic image of a child and is meant to evoke a nostalgia and a hope in the viewer. It is meant to remind us, especially in the current state of the world and our country, that there are still backyard games of tag, make believe, and the ability to be curious and explore beyond what we know.
