I created this portrait to capture the delicateness and beauty of the human soul. The eyes, gentle and graceful were highlighted to represent the model's soul. so clear and soft the model's face created an innocent yet melancholy effect to the image. This photograph was staged in my photography classroom with a black backdrop, old wooden chair and a piece of cardboard with a rectangle cut out. I had the model look into the camera to create a special bond with the viewer, to make them feel as if they were there in that moment. I played around with different lighting techniques and with the final photograph I used Adobe photoshop to highlight some features of the model's face to make the image soft and lighter. i also deepened some shadows to draw the viewers attention to the models eyes.
