The picture is taken on site at the biggest religious gathering in India - the Kumbh Mela in Ujjain in May 2016 and shows one of the many Sadhus (holy men) of India which live a very simple and remote life. They just come together during the time of the festival from all parts of India to celebrate. The festival is held once every twelve years in one of the holy places of India. I am facinated by their dovoted and simple life where they have no posessions apart from what they carry on their body or in a small bag. The picture is taken at the holy bath day where all Sadhus have a dip in the holy river and cover themselves with ash after the bath.
