The dance of sunbath

I was 18 meters under sea to see the stingrays, only to find them 14 meters above to bask in the sunshine. They never came back down, just kept dancing near the surface with the bubbles from our regulator surrounding them. It's not exactly what I was hoping for, but it's beautiful experience nevertheless. Perhaps it's better this way, to view them from a distance, leaving the close encounter in my imagination, that would be a reason for me to visit again.
