In the West some say that a new Cold War is ahead, several reports indicate that the violations of the national airspace, the close encounters with the militaries and the incidents involving security services are increasing every year in an aggressive and unusual provocative nature along the borders of the Baltic States. Since the annexation of Crimea, the dangerous brinkmanship practiced by Russia creates a perpetual fear of an imminent threat. Some people say that Putin’s actions are propaganda related with political aims, used to demonstrate the capacity of exerting the force to intimidate and coerce against the former Soviet republics. In response, the Baltic countries are intensifying surveillance and conducting several joint military training exercises with the allies along the eastern flank. Invisible Bear attempts to document the culture of confrontation, the measures of state control over borders against the vicious and dangerous bear.
