‘Territory’ is a serie taken with a large format camera in Switzerland in the Vaud canton in 2015. The interpretation of the territory presented here is intended above all to get away from the predictable, standardised representation of landscapes and monuments. It does not correspond to any border or outline of the officially established territory. If a few emblematic places and landmarks are included nonetheless, these are juxtaposed with ordinary spaces, more invisible sites, industrial monuments or everyday buildings which most people have never seen. The details inscribed in the weave of the paper used for making the negative echo the interstices of the landscape. The intended metamorphosis of the images encourages viewers to make their way from real places, towards more mysterious, secret worlds drawn by the light. The photographic processes used for "Territory" are Calotype (Le Gray's waxed paper negative process) and palladium contact prints.
