I’ve been collecting photos for the ”Armchair in the Sky" series for over twenty years. The images do not take their final form until they’ve been interpreted as photographic prints, a process I began in June of 2016. This project is personal in that it documents my journeys, but most of us relate to the experience of flying on a commercial jet, perhaps forgetting as adults the magical nature of such voyages. While generally considered a "desert photographer," this work is an extension of my landscape practice which examines the interaction of humans with the environment.
