A typical Nepalese wedding in a little village in Khotang district, a two days walk to the next road. The ceremony is located in front of the bright father's house and will end after a three hours walk at the bridegroom’s village. Nearly all villagers of both villages accompany the young married couple into their new stage of life. Due to the difficult geographic location, poor infrastructure and health care, life cannot be mastered alone. A wedding is an alliance in which one looks after the other and takes lovingly care of each other. Thus, the survival is ensured and the basis for the offspring is created.
