My artwork is representative of generations passing and of memories being destroyed. As one generation experiences a second death, another generation is born and new memories are made to replace old ones. The collective memory of humanity adds another layer, darkening and obscuring those layers of memory laid prior to further muddy human history. This is a repeating cycle, the revolving door of humanity. New layers are repeatedly obscuring previous layers of memory, until a black hole has been formed and one’s own memories pass over the event horizon to become obliterated by the dense mass of forgotten memories past. I merge the work of myself and of others so that they may be contextualized by the next generation, leading the eyes of the viewer to a future where an image of one’s self has lost any meaning to one’s ancestors.
