Due to climate change, during the monsoon season several South East Asian countries became severely flooded. Cambodia was one of the worst and the waters claimed several victims and made whole towns disappear. At the time the image was taken, many villagers desperately looked for a place where they could stay as temporary refugees. Cambodia has one of the highest deforestation rates in the world, which is directly related to extreme floods and heat waves which affect the country during the hot season.
