Polar bear (Ursus maritimus) deep in the tidal range of Hudson Bay, which by this time of year should be developing sea ice. These bears prey on seals who are only to be found by the breathing holes out on the ice, so they have to wait. Unfortunately, this wait is getting longer year after year...their odds are not good. Churchill, Manitoba, Canada, 2016.
