Elizabeth Quay Bridge, named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II, is a pedestrian and cyclist footbridge in Perth, Western Australia. The bridge provides a link between cafes, restaurants, shops, and area attractions. In keeping with the city skyline, the idea was to design an iconic but simple bridge. What captured my attention was the simplicity of the bridge. I wanted to reveal light in the midst of darkness by allowing light to illuminate the elegant curves and arches on the bridge.
