Dai is a project built around dramatized photography recreating violent events that happened in Spain. The landscape takes the role of the silent witness or even accomplice in terrible events perpetrated by man. Distance, silence and isolation turn the locations into a cover for the darkest happenings. It's the places that build this story. They can hide the events and keep the secrets. The project is about scenes open to interpretation. They include key elements of killing events, intentionally hiding details of the represented murder. Many of the deaths were widely aired in the media, partly due to the widespread morbid fascination aroused. We tried to avoid such reactions with this project. But all images have a true story behind.
