Red Bull Rampage is considered one of the hardest and most progressive competitions in mountain biking. Held each fall in the southern desert of Utah outside of Zion National Park, the invite only event hosts 21 of the best freeride mountain bike athletes from all over the world. Each athlete is allowed 2 builders to help him build his individual line on the mountain. Each athletes line is hand dug into the mountain, the use of machines is prohibited. The athletes are allowed 2 build days, 2 practice days, and one competition day where they are allowed two runs. By the end of the event only 14 of the 21 athletes finished both of their competition runs due to either injury or crash.
