Aerial images taken at 4000 ft over central Florida's mining district. The images are of the content of tailing ponds which are a by-product of mining residue. These ponds usually contain a mixture of salts, suspended solids, and other dissolvable chemicals compounds such as acids, benzene, hydrocarbons residual bitumen, fine salts and water. I have attempted to present a view not normally seen by the general population and in doing so, hopefully, have them think about "what is the cost of our progress to our environment?"
