In the ancient city of Bhaktapur, Nepal, locals set fire to burn the demon dummy made of wheat straw. This is a Nepali festival called Ghantakarna Chaturdasi to celebrate the defeat of the mythical demon Ghantakarna, who used to steal children and women from their homes and their neighborhoods. In this day, people also act out the legendary drama and perform rituals on the streets. Like many of other Nepali festivals, it is an example of the victory of good over evil.
